As we know Activated Carbon / activated charcoal is a type
of carbon that has a very large surface area. This can be achieved by
activating the carbon or charcoal. Only with one gram of activated carbon will
be obtained a material that has a surface area of approximately 500 m2
(obtained from the measurement of hydrogen gas adsorption) the larger the
surface area, the greater the absorption power.
