Zeolites are usually written with the chemical formula of oxide or based on crystal cell units M2 / nO Al2O3 a SiO2 b H2O or Mc / n {(AlO2) c (SiO2) d} b H2O. Where n is the valence of metals, a and b are silicate and water molecules, c and d are the number of tetrahedra alumina and silica.
Zeolite sand is widely used for various industrial applications including in the petroleum industry as 'cracking', in the detergent industry as an ion exchange, hard water softener, and water purification, as well as various other applications.
