Specification of Linear Alkyl Benzene Sulfonate Packaging 200 Kg/Drum
Linear Alkylbenzene Sulfonate (LAS) is an anionic surfactant which is widely used in detergents with concentrations ranging from 22-30%. The use of LAS is the cause of the accumulation of household waste in rivers and at sea and is also a result of laundry business activities. Accumulated LAS concentrations beyond 0.5mg / L are toxic to a wide variety of aquatic organisms. LAS at this concentration will form foam so that it can reduce environmental aesthetics and if the foam is blown away it can spread microbiapathogens. The test results show that human skin is only able to have a contact tolerance of LAS compounds by 1% with moderate irritation to the skin. The results showed that Laundy liquid waste contained a Linear Alkylbenzene Sulfonate (LAS) of 5.48, far above the environmentally safe threshold value.
